Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu predicted

Note regarding the missing references:
Some of the verses below were compiled by Kedarnath Datta Bhaktivinoda Thakura, others by Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. BVT presented a selection of scriptural passages to support the authenticity of Mayapura as the original birth site of Caitanya Mahaprabhu in PramANa KhaNDa of his NavadvIpa-dhAma-mAhAtmyam. This book is no longer available in its original form, but only in various recent Gaudiya Math editions. There exists also an 1994 English ISKCON edition.
Acaryas quoted all kinds of verses but mostly in the form of the name of the sastra, e.g "(iti) varAhe" - (it is stated) in the VarAha PurANa.... i.e. without verse numbers.
Another fact to be aware of is that many of these verses aren't found in modern editions. Many sastras were destroyed by Muslims or stolen by Brits. During the British Raj the missionaries tried to subvert the Vedic culture by various ways. One of them was to write fake additions to sastras. Bhavisya Purana was the popular target. See more here.
So the real references need to be mapped out - which editions have or don't have which verses. We welcome any help in this regard. Please contact us.

Towards the end of the period between four-thousand to five thousand years in Kali-yuga, I will descend on the earth as Gauranga, a golden-complexioned saintly brahmana in a place by the Ganges' shore and later become the crest-jewel of all sannyasis, exhibiting all My transcendental qualities including supreme renunciation and complete detachment from material desires. In the form of Lord Gauranga, I will display all the thirty-two bodily symptoms of a great personality with my arms extending to my knees. I will become my own devotee, very advanced in bhakti-yoga and teach the worship of Lord Krsna (Myself) by the chanting of My own holy names and relishing the mellows of My own devotional service. At that time only My most confidential devotees will be able to understand Me. (Atharva Veda, third khanda, Brahma-vibhaga)

Caitanya Upanisad of Atharva Veda (the whole text), note: This Upanisad is not found in standard lists.

atra brahma-puram nama

In that place [where Sri Caitanya appears] is a wonderful city like an eight-petal lotus flower. (commentary of Bhaktivinoda Thakura on Chandogya Upanisad 8.1.1 of Sama Veda)

tan-madhye daharam saksat

In the middle of that lotus-city is a place called Mayapura, and in the middle of Mayapura is a place called Antardvipa. That place is the home of Lord Caitanya, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. (commentary of Bhaktivinoda Thakura on Chandogya Upanisad 8.1.2)

In the Kali-yuga, Supreme Lord will appear in a brahmana's family. He will teach the message of the Upanisads and the dharma-sastras. He will defeat the atheists and offenders and He will establish the truth of Vaisnava-dharma. (Krsna Upanisad 2.6, confirmed edition: The Vaisnava Upanishads English Translation (Ramanathan)

mahan prabhur vai purusah

The Supreme Personality of Godhead is Mahaprabhu [Lord Caitanya], who disseminates transcendental enlightenment. Just to be in touch with Him is to be in contact with the indestructible brahmajyoti. (Svetasvatara Upanisad 3.12 of Yajur Veda)

In this way, my Lord, You appear in various incarnations as a human being, an animal, a great saint, a deva, a fish or a tortoise, thus maintaining the entire creation in different planetary systems and killing the demoniac principles. According to the age, O my Lord, You protect the principles of religion. In the age of Kali, however, You do not assert Yourself as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and therefore You are known as Triyuga, or the Lord who appears in three yugas. (Srimad-Bhagavatam 7.9.38, Prahlada Maharaja speaks to Lord Nrsimhadeva)

The Supreme Personality of Godhead Hari does not personally appear in the Kali-yuga. He only appears in other yugas beginning with Krta. Therefore He is known as Triyuga, or the Lord who appears in three yugas. (Visnu dharmottara Purana 104.50, Harrassowitz 1983-1989, quoted in Krsna sandarbha 25.2 as pratyAkSa rUpa...)

asan varnas trayo hy asya

This boy [Krsna] has three other colors - white, red and yellow - as He appears in different ages. Now He has appeared in a transcendental blackish color. (Srimad-Bhagavatam 10.8.13, Gargamuni speaks to Nanda Maharaja)

krsna-varnam tvisakrsnam
yajnaih sankirtana-prayair
yajanti hi su-medhasah

In the age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the name of Krsna. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Krsna Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions. (Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.5.32, Karabhajana Muni speaks to King Nimi)

My dear Lord, You are the Maha-purusa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and I worship Your lotus feet, which are the only eternal object of meditation. Those feet destroy the embarrassing conditions of material life and freely award the greatest desire of the soul, the attainment of pure love of Godhead. My dear Lord, Your lotus feet are the shelter of all holy places and of all saintly authorities in the line of devotional service and are honored by powerful devas like Lord Siva and Lord Brahma. My Lord, You are so kind that You willingly protect all those who simply bow down to You with respect, and thus You mercifully relieve all the distress of Your servants. In conclusion, my Lord, Your lotus feet are actually the suitable boat for crossing over the ocean of birth and death, and therefore even Lord Brahma and Lord Siva seek shelter at Your lotus feet. (Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.5.33)

O Mahapurusa, I worship Your lotus feet. You gave up the association of the goddess of fortune and all her opulence, which is most difficult to renounce and is hankered after by even the great devas. Being the most faithful follower of the path of religion, You thus left for the forest in obedience to a brahmana's curse. Out of sheer mercifulness You chased after the fallen conditioned souls, who are always in pursuit of the false enjoyment of illusion, and at the same time engaged in searching out Your own desired object, Lord Syamasundara. In Sri Ananta-samhita, Part Two, Chapter Three, Lord Siva describes to Parvati: O Gauri, please hear attentively and I will speak the great glories of Sridhama Navadvipa, which completely destroy all sins and award Krsna's pure loving devotional service to all living entities.

2 yatha vrndavanam dhama
sri-krsnasya krpa-nidheh
navadvipas tatha kante
satyam satyam vadamy aham

The glories of Navadvipa are exactly the same as the glories of Vrndavana, the trancendental abode of Lord Krsna, who is an ocean of mercy. O beloved, I speak the truth.

3 yadvad vrndavane ramye
sri-krsno radhaya saha
reme bhaktananda-karas
tadvad dvipe nave sada

Lord Krsna, who delights the devotees by enjoying pastimes with Sri Radha in the most beautiful Vrndavana dhama, eternally also enjoys with Sri Radha is Sri Navadvipa dhama.

4 ganga-yamunayor madhye
dvipah parama-sobhanah
yasya smarana-matrena
sri-radha-krsnayo ratih

In the middle of both the Ganges and Yamuna is an exquistely beautiful island. Simply by remembering it one attains pure love for Sri Sri Radha and Krsna.

5 yadi tirtha-sahasrani
paryatanti narah ksitau
navadvipam vina devi
na radham krsnam apnuyat

O goddess, people who travel to thousands of holy places in this world, will not attain Sri Sri Radha and Krsna if they do not travel to Navadvipa.

6-7 dvipasyasyaika-dese ca
tirthani sakalani ca
rsayo munayo devas
tatha siddhasramani ca

vedah sastrani sarvani
mantradini mahesvari
vasanti satatam durge

O Durga, at a certain place on this transcendental island all holy places, sages, saints, devas, asramas of perfected beings, all Vedic scriptures and all Vedic mantras constantly reside for the satisfaction of Sri Sri Radha and Krsna.

8 asvamedha-sahasrani

9 yat phalam labhate martyo

phalam vaksyami parvati

The result a human being attains by performing thousands of asvamedha-yajnas, as well as vajapeya yajnas, and many other pious rituals repeatedly and constantly with great devotion, or by diligently practicing yoga for a very long time, is attained millions of times over simply by remembering Navadvipa once. O Parvati, how then will I be able to describe the result attained by directly seeing Navadvipa?

10 sakrd yadi navadvipam
samsmareyur naradhamah
sadhavas te tadaiva syuh
satyam satyam hi parvati

If the lowest of men just faithfully remember Navadvipa for a single moment, they immediately become great saints. O Parvati, this is the truth, this is the truth.

11 tesam dine dine bhaktir
vardhate natra samsayah
tesam pada-rajah-puta
sapta-dvipa vasundhara

Every day their devotion increases. Of this there is no doubt. The whole earth with its seven continents becomes purified simply by the dust of their feet.

12 ye vasanti navadvipe
manavah gaura-devatah
na ca te manava-jneya
sri-gaurasya ca parsadah

Those human beings who reside in Navadvipa and accept Lord Gaura as their worshipable Lord should not be considered as ordinary human beings. They are the transcendental associates of Lord Gaura.

13 tesam smarana-matrena
maha-patakino 'pi ca
satyam sudhanti vai durge
kim punar darsanadibhih

O Durga, simply by remembering them, the greatest sinners are purified. How much more blessed are those who directly see them or associate with them.

14 navadvipasya mahatmyam
pancabhir vadanair aham
kim varnayami nanantah
sahasrair vadanair alam

Even Lord Ananta with His thousands of mouths is not able to properly glorify Navadvipa. So how can I do so with only five mouths?

15 dhama-sarasya krsnasya
vrndaranyasya sailaje
arohanasya sopanam
navadvipam vidur budhah

O Parvati, the learned and wise know that Navadvipa is a staircase leading to Vrndavana, the topmost abode of Lord Krsna.

16 navadvipe ca sa krsna
adaya hrdaye svayam
gajendra-gamanam radham
sada ramayate muda

Lord Krsna will appear in Navadvipa. Taking the mood of Srimati Radha to His heart, Lord Krsna will constantly and blissfully relish Her love for Him. At that time His movements will be more graceful than those of the best of elephants.

17 navadvipe tu tah sakhyo
bhakta-rupa-dharah priye
ekangam sri-gaura-harim
sevante satatam muda

O beloved, assuming the forms of male devotees, the gopis and other associates will also appear in Navadvipa. With great happiness they will constantly serve Lord Gaurahari, who is Radha and Krsna combined in a single form.

18 ya eva radhika-krsnah
sa eva gaura-vigrahah
yac ca vrndavanam devi
navadvipam ca tat subham

O goddess, know for sure that Radha and Krsna will combine to become the single golden form of Lord Gaura, and Vrndavana will become the beautiful and auspicious Navadvipa.

19-20 vrndavane navadvipe
bheda-buddhis ca yo narah
tam eva radhika-krsne
sri-gaurange paratmani

dehah so 'pi naradhamah

yavad ahuta-samplavam

With my trident I will cut into pieces anyone who thinks that Vrndavana and Navadvipa are different, or that Radha-Krsna and Lord Gauranga are different, or that Lord Gauranga is not the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Such a person is most degraded and he will burn in a terrible hell until the time of the universal devastation.

21 yahi turnam navadvipam
bhaja gauram krpa-nidhim
yadi vrndavane ramye
dasatvam durlabham loke
bhakti-saram yam icchasi

Lord Hari said to Anantadeva: If you desire the most rare essence of all kinds of pure devotional service i.e. the direct service to Sri Sri Radha Krsna in the beautiful abode of Vrndavana, then go at once to Navadvipa and worship Lord Gaura, who is an ocean of causeless mercy.

22 tatra gatva navadvipe
naga-rajo dhrta-vratah

O beloved, the king of serpents Ananta then went to Navadvipa. Following strict vows with great determination, He worshiped Lord Gauranga for ten thousand years.

23 tatah prasanno bhagavan
sri-gauro jagad-isvarah

Greatly pleased, the Supreme Personality of Godhead and the master of all the universes, revealed His transcendental golden form to His great devotee Ananta.

24 ayam eva navadvipo

radhaya nirmitah pura

Lord Gauranga then said to Ananta: O sinless one, Navadvipa is equal to Vrndavana is all respects. To show mercy to the living entities Sri Radha created it long ago.

25 yatha mama priya radha
tatha vrndavanam mahat
tadvad ayam navadvipa
iti satyam vadamy aham

As Radha is dear to Me, so the great Vrndavana and Navadvipa are also dear to Me. I speak to You the truth.

26 vrndavane yathananta
vasami radhaya saha
radhaya militango 'ham
tathaivasmin sada vase

O Ananta, as I reside in Vrndavana with Sri Radha, so I also stay eternally in Navadvipa, My transcendental form embraced by Sri Radha.

27 yatha vrndavanam tyaktva
gacchami na ca kutracit
tatha deva navadvipam

O Anantadeva, as I do not leave Vrndavana to go to any other place, so also I never give up Navadvipa and go anywhere else.

end of Ananta-samhita quotes

These Satvata tantra quotes appear in the edition quoted by Sridhara Swami in his Bhavarta Dipika, a pre-Gaudiya text:

yataH kali-yugasyAdau
bhagavAn puruzottamaH
avatIrya yazas tena
zuddhaM kali-malApaham

For this reason the Supreme Personality of Godhead descends and with His glory purifies the Kali-yuga of its sins. (Satvata tantra 5.40)

sa tAta paramo devaH
dvi-netro dvi-bhujo gauras

O child, at that time the Supreme Personality of Godhead has two eyes, two arms, and a fair complexion splendid as molten gold. He is the son of Sri Saci-devi. (Satvata tantra 5.41)

dhyAna-yoga-kriyaH sarvaH
sa samhRtya dayA-paraH
svakIye yazasi sthApya

Removing the meditation, yoga, and pious deeds (of the previous ages), the merciful Lord will put His own glory in their place. Then He will return to the highest Vaikuntha world. (Satvata tantra 5.42)

tasmin yajanti zrI-kRSNaM

With sixteen holy names of the Lord and with mantras from the Tantras [Pancaratras] the people in that age will worship the Lord of the universes, whose complexion is fair and who is named Sri Krsna Caitanya. (Satvata tantra 5.43)

krsna-caitanyeti nama
mukhyan mukhyatamam prabhoh
helaya sakrd uccarya
sarva-nama-phalam labhet

The holy name Krsna Caitanya is the most important of the Lord's holy names. By chanting this name a single time, even in contempt, a person attains the results of chanting all other holy names. (Brahma-rahasya)

athavaham dhara-dhamni
bhutva mad-bhakta-rupa-dhrk

Sometimes I personally appear on the surface of the world in the garb of a devotee. Specifically, I appear as the son of Saci in Kali-yuga to start the sankirtana movement. (Brahma-yamala tantra)

gaurangam gaura-diptangam
pathet stotram krtanjalih
nanda-gopa-sutam caiva
namasyami gadagrajam

With great devotion and folded hands, one should recite the following prayer before Lord Gauranga, whose limbs are as effulgent as molten gold: 'I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gauranga-Krsna, the son of the Nanda Maharaja and the elder brother of Gada. (Brahma-yamala tantra)

nama-vistaranaya ca
yo hi Krsnah sa caitanyo

In this way, to preach the glories of the holy names and to deliver the conditioned souls, Lord Krsna will appear as Lord Caitanya. (Brahma-yamala tantra)

bhavisyami ca caitanyah
kalau sankirtanagame

(The Supreme Personality of Godhead declares:) In Kali-yuga I will appear as Sri Caitanya and I will start the sankirtana movement. Giving them the chanting of Lord Hari's holy names, I will deliver the people of the world. (Brahma-yamala tantra)

kalau prathama-sandhyayam
bhavisyati navadvipe

In the first sandhya of Kali-yuga, Lord Krsna will appear in Navadvipa, in Sacidevi's womb. In that incarnation He will teach the chanting of Lord Hari's holy names.

anyavatara bahavah
sarve sadharana matah

Lord Krsna descends to the world in many different forms. However in Kali-yuga, His incarnation is hidden. At that time He appears disguised as a sannyasi. (Jaimini-bharata)

lokasyanugrahaya ca
sannyasasramam asritya

To show mercy to the people by teaching them the science of devotional service, the Supreme Personality of Godhead will descend to the earth. He will accept the sannyasa-asrama and His name will be Sri Krsna Caitanya. (Jaimini-bharata)

Then Sri Radha said to Lord Krsna: 'O beloved, please hear My words. I yearn to become one with you. Please show a form where You and I embrace and Our two bodies become one, a form filled with the love I bear for You, a form filled with auspicious and blissful pastimes, a form that brings bliss to the heart, a form that unites Our two natures.'

Hearing His beloved's words, which were filled with joy and love, Lord Krsna passionately embraced Her. Then by the touch of His inconceivable potency Their two forms joined and became one, a single form endowed with Sri Radha's divine love and glorious splendor. In a dream Lord Krsna showed all this to Sri Radha. (Kapila tantra)

He (Krsna) will consider Himself as You (Radha). In this mood He will loudly recite two syllables, krs-na, and being shamelessly intoxicated He will wander like an elephant. (Krsna-yamala tantra 65)

amsena tatra yasyanti
tatra tat purva parsada

When Lord Govinda appears on earth, He will be known as Caitanya. At that time His previous associates will also appear on earth. For the most part, they will have male forms. (Krsna-yamala tantra 66)

In the sandhya at the end of Dvapara-yuga I appeared as dark Lord Krsna, the son of Vasudeva and Devaki. In Kali-yuga I will appear in a golden form as the son of Purandara and Sacidevi. (Urdhvamnaya tantra)

kaleh prathama-sandhyayam
gaurango 'sau mahi-tale
bhagirathi-tate ramye
bhavisyati sanatanah

In the first sandhya of Kali-yuga, on the earth, by the beautiful shore of the Ganges, the Lord will appear in His eternal golden form. (Yoga-vasistha)

Besides these there are complete chapters about Sri Caitanya's incarnation in the Vayu Purana and Bhavisya Purana.
Also there is a text by the name Caitanya Upanisad in the Atharva Veda, which explains the Lord's incarnation in Kali-yuga. I have not cited it here, as it was rediscovered in recent times, so some people will reject its authenticity, or at least its value as evidence. Those interested can find it online at several sites.

Sri Caitanya's incarnation was a hidden incarnation, thus He buried references to His appearance deep within the ocean of Vedic texts. His desire was that His disguise would not be betrayed, so He made sure these references would remain hidden until after His incarnation was complete. These texts were always present, but by the inconceivable yoga-maya of the Lord, He covered His true identity even from the Vedic scholars and panditas. Only the pure devotees understood His actual identity. One example is saint Meerabai who accepted Sri Caitanya as Krsna himsef:

Ab To Hari Nam Dhun Lo Lagi
language: Braja Bhasa

(1) ab to hari nam dhun lo lagi, sadho! saba jaga bolata makhan chora, nam dharo vairagi!

(2) kaha chadi vahu mohan murali? kaha chadi saba gopi? mora mundayi gora kati bandhi, mane na mani gopi!

(3) mata yasomati makhan choran bandhi jaki b aha, syama kisor bhaye nava gora, caitanya jako nam!

(4) pitambar ko bhava dikhavai, kati kaupina base, gaur krsna ki dasi mira, jasa na krsna bane na bane!

ab to hari nam dhun lo lagi!

1) O pious souls! Now, my consciousness is absorbed into the Divine vibration of the Names of my Hari! I surrender myself to His Holy Name! The entire world addresses Him as the 'Butter Thief'. But now, He has earned another popular Name for Himself, as Vairagi, the dispassionate wandering monk (sannyasi)!

2) O my dearest Mohan (Enchanter, Krsna)! Why have You discarded Your intimate companion (priya-sakhi), the Divine Flute? And why have You renounced all Your eternal sweethearts, the gopis? You appear now with shaven head and ochre cloth at Your waist! But this clever gopi uncovers Your disguise and doesn't care to conceal it!

3) Now it seems like Mother Yasoda has tied up the both arms of Butter Thief! Alas, no more mischievous tricks! My Dark Beloved has now reappeared as the newly fresh Golden Lord Whose blessed Name is 'Caitanya'!

4) Though clad Himself in skimpy rags, His pitambara (yellow divine attire) as well as His inner most divine love sentiments are revealed to me. Now Mirabai is the maid-servant of the Golden Krsna Caitanya, whether the glory of My Krsna is recognized by all or not!
